Rare item - only 1 in stock
Robert Wolfkill is a professional furniture maker/designer handcrafting one of a kind pieces from his studio near Palm Beach FL. Robert’s goal in designing this heirloom quality cigar humidor was for it to become a treasured keepsake. He is a custom furniture maker and furniture designer located in Palm Beach County Florida. His work is designed and handcrafted using select hardwoods, veneers and “old world” joinery techniques. From design to milling to finishing, each piece is meticulously crafted with his own skilled hands.
Sixteen tenons are used to construct the carcass of the cigar case. No detail is overlooked including hand carved legs, chamfered edges, mortised 1/4 Acrylic top, cove molding, fully mortised concealed high quality SOSS hinges, Fischer humidity gauge and finest quality full mortised locking mechanism with escutcheon. Robert used solid select quarter-sawn sapele mahogany and aromatic spanish cedar for your handcrafted cigar humidor . He obsessed over tone and grain selection which wraps around the entire case. After final sanding, the case received a dozen coats of hand rubbed French polish- similar to the finish seen on extremely fine antiques. This technique protects and showcases the natural beauty of the wood.
A finely crafted removable cigar tray will store your cigars. It was designed to allow airflow from below where a lined Spanish cedar compartment nests four included 69% RH Bodeva packs. Bodeva is the latest and greatest hassle free and accurate way of releasing humidity inside your handcrafted cigar humidor. This technology only releases the amount of humidity needed to accomplish the perfect environment for your cigars.
The bottom of the case can be engraved with your name or any other message of your choice.
