About

Robert J. Wolfkill is the proprietor of Wolfkill Woodwork LLC. Robert has been passionately designing and building fine wooden furniture for over twenty-five years. The Wolfkill name can be traced back to 1800’s era craftsmen after Robert’s ancestors settled in the Pennsylvania area. His father is an excellent craftsman and his grandfather was a contractor. Both undoubtably inspired him. Robert was trained at one of the finest furniture making schools in the Country, the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport Maine. During his training, he was able to fully immerse himself in design, joinery, hand skills and finishing techniques. Robert was fortunate to surround himself with many of the finest teachers and furniture makers from around the world.  His work is made to last generations using select hardwoods, veneers and “old world” joinery techniques. From design to milling to finishing, each piece is handcrafted exclusively with his own skilled hands. He has completed work for custom homes across coastal south Florida from Historic Downtown Stuart, throughout the Island of Palm Beach to Alton Rd on Miami Beach. In 2022, Robert’s work was included in Architectural Digest Magazine. In 2021, Robert was invited to participate in a Gallery Exhibition at the Cultural Counsel for Palm Beach County. His work entitled “Gatherings” was on display in the Counsel’s Main Gallery from November 2021 through January 2022. 2020, Robert completed several custom furniture pieces for an oceanfront mansion located in the Town of Palm Beach (the most expensive home sold on record). Robert’s work has been accepted to art exhibitions and juried craft shows including the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show where he exhibited in 2020. Robert’s professional goal is simple. Each subsequent work must be better and more cherished than his last. He tells his clients that he wants their new piece to be the most beautiful object in their home. Robert recently relocated his studio from Palm Beach to the foothills of the North Georgia mountains in the town of Ball Ground. Please feel free to contact him with questions about pieces in his gallery or for a design consultation on a custom furniture piece.
