Our handcrafted blanket chest can be made with a smooth or rustic finish (distressed by hand). The outside of the chest receives a beautifully layered shellac finish. The inside is left unfinished but sanded smooth. This ensures your keepsakes, valuable blankets and linens are not damaged. You will be greeted with the wonderful smell of natural timber when opening the chest.
A vintage antique brass piano hinge is installed along the rear interior of the handcrafted blanket chest. A gorgeous set of vintage antiqued chest stays are installed on the rear corners which ensures your lid opens and closes smoothly.
