How it was designed and handcrafted

The display console is a custom design utilizing the angled front solid timber legs to give the piece a beautiful light geometric look via the display area which tapers from the bottom shelf to the upper shelf. The open design of the frame allows for unobstructed viewing of the items to be displayed. The center 3/8 inch polished edge glass shelf gives a piece a light and airy look. I purchase my timber rough sawn from the mill and meticulously plane and joint it to final dimensions. Old world joinery was used to construct the piece which was Once the piece was assembled it received a final sanding and several coats of a weathered blue gray tent. This was followed by numerous coats of glass lacquer to give the piece a sleek elegant look and maximum protection.
