About the Design
An extremely unique and beautifully handcrafted piece constructed from 1 1/2” thick solid select white oak. The rungs of the blanket ladder are solid 1″ diameter brass which is etched along the horizontal rungs and then seamlessly mortised through the sides of the piece where the brass is highly polished and accept a matching white oak wedge. The wedge adds incredible visual interest and strength to the joint. The white oak is finished with a hand-rubbed oil and wax. The bottom and top of the blanket ladder is angled to allow it stand against your wall and with mortised anti-skid feet to prevent marring.
About the Designer-Maker
Robert Wolfkill is a professional furniture designer and maker creating heirloom quality pieces from his studio near Palm Beach Florida. His work has been exhibited at the Palm Beach Fine Craft Show, Cultural Counsel for the Palm Beaches and in Architectural Digest Magazine. Robert’s work can be found in custom homes across South Florida from the Town of Palm Beach to Alton Rd in Miami Beach through Historic Downtown Stuart.
